Salkazanov enters RAF with one of the most decorated international resumes in the field. Representing Slovakia after beginning his career in Russia, he has claimed five European championships while consistently medaling at the world's toughest international events. His calculated offense goes hand-in-hand with his incredible positional awareness and his elite counter wrestling have made him one of the most difficult outs in freestyle for years.

Carr has proven he can wrestle with anyone in the world, but Salkazanov has spent years doing exactly that against Olympic and World champions.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR

Carr's Pace: Carr excels when matches become physically demanding. If he can force extended exchanges and continually pressure Salkazanov, his conditioning and relentless style could become a major factor late. His offensive versatility is mentally exhausting, but nothing like the pace he puts on opponents.

Salkazanov's Counter Offense: Few wrestlers punish mistakes like Salkazanov. If Carr overcommits on an attack or leaves an opening during a scramble, as he has done before, expect the Euro champion to capitalize immediately. It could be the difference between leaving with the belt, should Carr fall into Salkazanov’s counter clutches.
