The energy in Cleveland hit another level when Wyatt Hendrickson stepped onto the mat at RAF01.
He’s one of the biggest names in American wrestling right now, fresh off his massive win over Gable Steveson in March and a World Team berth in June.
Once the match started, it was all Hendrickson.
Mostafa Mohamed came out looking to slow the pace and bully Wyatt with underhooks, trying to grind out pushouts. But Hendrickson had other plans. Every time Mostafa came forward, Wyatt timed the pressure, lat pulled and dropped into a clean single leg.
From there, it was textbook. Hendrickson switched off to a double and ran straight through him.
He repeated the sequence more than once, keeping Mostafa off balance and racking up points. His pace, positioning and horsepower were just too much.
After the win, the post-match moment hit like a promo from a heavyweight title fight. Mason Parris came out onto the stage, mic in hand, and gave Hendrickson credit—but not without throwing down a challenge.
“I’ll give you your flowers,” he said. “But I’m back. And this is still my house.”
Without hesitation, Hendrickson raised his belt and responded with a smile: “Come take it, bud.”
It was a perfect setup for what comes next. Two world-class heavyweights. One belt. One big-time rematch brewing in the Real American Freestyle heavyweight division.
The crowd was behind Hendrickson from the second he stepped out. “USA! USA!” chants echoed throughout the Wolstein Center as he rolled through his match.
Between the last-minute clearance, the explosive performance and the heavyweight showdown with Mason now on the horizon, this was a moment that defined the night—and the spirit of the league.
