Breakdown: R1: Tomasello, 1-0 | R2: Ramos, 1-1 | R3: Tomasello, 4-2
The first title rematch in RAF history delivered.
Opening period was all hand fight. Ramos showed more motion early, but Tomasello held center. Ramos fired off a couple of half shots but couldn’t connect. NATO stayed active and drew a shot clock call, converting the point for a 1–0 lead.
Second period, Ramos upped the pace. He controlled ties and drew a shot clock back the other way to even it 1–1. Tomasello got in deep on a high crotch late in the period, but Ramos somehow wiggled out and kept it neutral.
Third period brought the fireworks. Ramos attacked with a double but stalled out mid-shot. Tomasello fired a re-attack—same high crotch—got Ramos to a hip, but this time Ramos scored with a crotch lift and took a 3–1 lead with 1:20 left.
NATO stayed composed. After a stalemated low single from Ramos, Tomasello went back to what was working—another high crotch, this time finishing clean for two. That made it 3–3, with Tomasello holding criteria. Restart came at :12.
Ramos had to go. He shot. NATO stepped over and countered for two more at the buzzer.
Final: 5–3. Title defended.
