Jackson made a statement before the whistle—staring down Starocci during introductions, then backing it up with a freight train double for four right out of the gate. Carter fired back with a clean shot but Jackson turned it to his favor, forcing a step out to make it 5–0. Carter had a chance late with a standing single but couldn’t finish before the clock.

Second period saw Carter start to find his rhythm, getting to inside singles twice—but Jackson stayed heavy, stuffing both. Jackson’s best look came on a left-side single of his own, but time ran out before he could convert.

Third period opened with a strong attack from Carter that nearly broke things open. He cashed in on a step out to make it 5–1. Moments later, another action from Starocci was ruled grounded. Still, he was taking ground, closing space. Another step out with :30 to go cut it to 5–2.

Jackson took a quick breather at the restart—and then jumped right back in. On the whistle, he shot first. Carter tried to roll it with a head pinch, but it slipped and Jackson landed on top for two more to ice it.
