Evan Wick vs Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau - Hammer vs Hammer

Evan Wick, the original RAF Middleweight Champion is back and looking to get himself back in championship form. To do that he’ll have one of the toughest tests of his career in Mahamedkhabib “Kadik” Kadzimahamedau. It’s the All American vs the Boogeyman at RAF 06.

Evan Wick and Mahamedkhabib “Kadik” Kadzimahamedau are both in position to redirect their RAF careers. Both are coming off of losses to some of the biggest names on-roster and are meeting in a title-caliber matchup that will certainly put the winner back on the track for gold.

After upsetting Jason Nolf at RAF 01 for the Middleweight title, Wick was a marked man by everybody in the division. A single off night against a hungry title challenger could spell the end of your reign, especially against the middleweights on the RAF roster.

Wick looked to defend his title against Dean Hamiti and found himself in a bad position that ultimately led to a pinfall loss. While he hasn’t done a lot of losing in his life, neither has Dean Hamiti. Or Jason Nolf for that matter. Wick has had one of the toughest schedules in RAF and he’s gearing up for another name who, like himself, isn’t just one of the best in RAF or the Middleweight division, he’s one of the best active wrestlers on the planet.

After defeating Kyle Dake at the 2020 Olympics and securing a silver medal, Kadik has been one of the most feared names in freestyle competition. After five years of taking out almost every man he was matched up against, Kadik finally had his long awaited rematch with Dake.

He would fall 10-7 in a closely fought battle that had fans online asking for an immediate trilogy matchup. Though we’re not getting the immediate rematch, Kadik immediately turning around and taking on a former champion shows that he’s willing to go to any length to get another shot at Dake.

The two have never faced off before and hold different unique advantages over one another but what the match may come down to is the will to win.

Wick is a product of the fire and the chaos. He’s always a threat to score ugly points and an early lead against Kadik puts him in a position to “manage and control” the match instead of simply “surviving” it. Wick has always been a top-tier wrestler and he brings enough chaos that he’s always a threat to bring out the worst in opponents regardless of their skillset.

Kadik is one of the most mentally solid wrestlers in the business. He’s also one of the best at avoiding stepping out of place in a scramble. Getting him knocked off his game is one of the most unlikely scenarios to play out. If Kadik can trap Wick into making the match dirty without actually taking the bait himself, he can gain control of the entire match.

Matchups this high-level are often reserved for title matches or main events and with the skillset and hunger that both men have, the next one just might be. For now, however, buckle up because it just might be match of the night.

Can Evan Wick punch his ticket back to claim RAF gold once again or will Kadik set the table for a trilogy match with Kyle Dake? Find out Saturday, February 28 ONLY on Fox Nation!
