Heavy hand fight like we thought right out of the gate. DeSanto gets focus passive at the 1:00 mark and earns a shot clock point with :45 left.

Second period, Nico gets in deep early and works it for a long time, but DeSanto is able to square up and stalemates it at 1:00. Off the restart, DeSanto attacks immediately—clean takedown and a lace. Nico challenges the call but loses it to close the period.

By the third, DeSanto’s pace is wearing on Nico. He stays on the gas and picks up two more takedowns to close it out.
