Kyle Snyder enters Real American Freestyle as a generational talent and 9x Olympic and World medalist (soon to be 10). In 2015, Snyder won gold at the Senior World Championships in Las Vegas — then followed it up with Olympic gold in Rio just a year later, all while still wrestling for The Ohio State University.
A 4x NCAA finalist and 3x NCAA champion, Snyder was the first Olympic gold medalist to return to college and win another NCAA title. During his college years, he was also the only student-athlete on the U.S. Senior World Team.
His most iconic performance came at the 2017 World Championships in Paris, where he defeated Russian phenom Abdulrashid Sadulaev — ending a 3-year unbeaten streak in one of the most legendary matches in wrestling history.
Snyder trains at the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club and lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and children. He’s also the youngest American — and only the 11th ever — to win the prestigious Yarygin Grand Prix in Russia, taking back-to-back titles in one of the world’s toughest
